As an individual you probably have heard of the term usability and accessibility. I am sure that many of do know what it means in it’s simplest terms but also on the other hand most you do not know exactly what it means thus relying on your service provider to ensure that the site is fully usable and accessible.
This article will help you understand what usability is and what questions to ask and how to check usability and accessibility- ensuring you get maximum ROI from your product but also to help in client retention and ensure that your site is accessible by all users that are interested in your content, products or services.
So what is usability- there are a number of definitions:
“That quality of a system that makes it easy to learn, easy to use and encourages the user to regard the system as a positive help in getting the job done.”
“…efficiency with which a user can perform required tasks with a product, for example, a website. Usability can be measured objectively via performance errors and productivity, and subjectively via user preferences and interface characteristics. Web design features that affect usability include navigation design and content layout.”
