This page provides an overview of the projects i have been involved with throughout my career.

What am i doing now?

Currently working as a contractor for a number of companies offering IT consultation in the field of Business Systems Analysis,Requirements elicitation,analysis, management and software systems design.

Web applications

  • B-live CRM CRM system for B-live enterprises. The specification of the application was provided by Blive. I was responsible in managing the team to deliver the project using agile methodologies primarily XP. Constant feedback from the client, test driven development, and the incorporation of a number of other modules such as AJAX requirements management and change management ensured the delivery of the project.
  • Disney-D100 mobile
    Observing the increasing number of 8 to 13 year olds using mobile phones, Disney has designed a mobile phone especially for children. I was responsible for managing the team for developing the d-100 mobile web site and back-end administration. This featured e-commerce features (buying phone credits) and Barclays EPDQ integration. Moreover the site was localised for a number of languages. The site was build using .NET/c# ,MS SQL and NHibernate
  • Costof Energy
    A new energy switching and carbon offset site that allows onsumers to change suppliers and purchase energy saving product so that they can halve. I was responsible for gathering all the requirements of the system through iterative requirements workshops, paper design and clickable prototypes. This involved gathering requirements for a number of systems such as the main site, the admin of the system, a CRM system, a CMS system and an e-commerce system. I have used a number of methodologies such as SSADM, UML, rich pictures, MoSCoW rules, user stories and mind maps to gather requirements and manage the development and planning of the project.
  • Pancyprian Company of Bakers-Intranet (offline)Gathered requirements,designed and developed an intranet application for the Pancyprian Company of Bakers Cyprus. A full business analysis and project planning cycle was also incorporated in the project. Several methodologies were incorporated such as SSADM,UML, Rich Pictures and several other methodologies. I have used CSS,PHP and MySQL to design the application.
  • Dipinto image ordering system - (extranet)
    This unique e-commerce solution is being deployed onto the front desks of Newspapers across the UK and Ireland. Featuring a secure extranet and off-line ordering application, Newspapers are able to provide a complete ordering solution for customers to obtain high-quality prints over the Internet from local newspapers. I was responsible for managing the maintenance, bugs new requirements and change requests and the development of these requests by the team.
  • McLaren Automotive- Manufacturing Support Information System. I was responsible for a wireless-touch screen web enabled assembly line Manufacturing Support System. The system enabled technicians on the assembly line to assemble the Mercedes-SLR-Mclaren.  This was done with the use of touchscreen wireless web based system with a database back-end that provided instruction in text and visual form on how to assemble the car. I was also responsible in gathering and integrating engineering and IT requirements, usability requirements and other technical issues that can affect the productivity of the employees.

    A website aimed towards finding schools and courses for overseas students. As project manager and business analyst I was responsible in translating customer needs into software requirements and managing the process of designing and building bespoke modules. This include multilingual elements, CMS and contentment administration. Moreover I managed the sites redesign and offered consultation on helping the site to find ways to generate more revenue and integrate it’s services with other sites.

    Another CMS website this time designed and produced to a specification written by RCP Consultants Ltd. The project was managed using agile principles utilising the customers constant collaboration and feedback. The process involved my team building bespoke modules on-top of the CMS platform such as user tracking, reporting, membership and user specific content administration.

    Managed the development of this site using an ASP/XML content management system. Built for Business Performance Management the site has many features including banner advertising management. The site was delivered very fast in short weekly iterations with the client having remote access to a staging server and an online bug and changes tracking system.

    A community based youth site that specialised in career advice for school children. This was a cross platform website that used an ASP/XML based content management system to produce content but had several ASP.NET 1.1 applications added to the website for billable banner advertisements, user tracking/email management and promotional newsletters. I was responsible for managing the team for this project, producing requirements documents and specifications based on customer requests. I was also responsible in managing and helped implementing bugs and change requests for the client. Offered consultation and advice on several bespoke modules and site enchaments.

    Responsible for managing the team for the maintenance of the EnergyHelpline website. The concept was a switching website, people entered their gas and/or electricity bill and the site came back with a list of offers that would save the user money.

    The place to buy online sales training on the web. A CMS based site with a very big number of bespoke features. I was responsible for managing the requirements, planning the site design and development. Moreover due to the rapid change of requirements I was able to utilise a mixture of XP and Scrum methodologies to keep scope creep to a minimum and offer business value to the client. The site has a number of features like a courses database, user membership and tracking, e-commerce solution with categories, products, custom attributes, a basket, ordering and payment integration with Barclays Epdq.

    Gathered design, usability and accessibility requirements from the client and managed the re-design of the new site.

    Managed the site built using a CMS system/ framework .The site consists of a content rich site with a bespoke design, secure extranet for registered users, detailed logging and reporting system and a form builder

    The site was built very fast in only a few days using a CMS based and XP as base methodology to manage the requirements of the client. Having cleared requirements we focused on the design the usability and the accessibility of the site. Once the design was signed off, the implementation took a few hours.

    This site combines aspects of a CMS solution with a bespoke e-commerce shopping basket that integrates with the CMS to enable users to shop for books. On checkout the data is passed to a 3rd party ordering system to fulfill the order. I was responsible in both managing the development of the site but also to manage client expectations and change requests.

  • BouncingFish –Project Methodology
    While working for BouncingFish Ltd, I have developed a project management and software development methodology based on a pick and mix approach of XP,SCUM,RUP, PRINCE2 , Soft Systems Methodology and SSADM. The methodology focused on business analysis, requirements gathering and management, software development, and project management.
  • Pancyprian Company of Bakers- B2B Ecommerce Strategy
    Deisgn,developed and recommended a B2B strategy for PCBltd,Cyprus. The strategy recommendation focused upon analysis of the current bakery market and e-commerce market in Cyprus, a business systems analysis of the company and a complete design of the recommended solution. The aim was to provide the company with a specification on how B2B e-commerce can help the company gain competitive advantage against rivals.
  • BouncingFish CMS V2
    Gathered requirements through requirements workshops, market research for the a .NET version of the BouncingFish CMS.
